Zoe-perry
Perry was born in Chicago to two actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Her first roles on television included two episodes in the role of Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) in the ABC sitcom Roseanne, the character portrayed by her mom. Because of their fear of stress, the parents were not keen to let performing before turning 18. Perry said that she was too nervous to be an actor in high school but began doing shows at Northwestern University as a way to meet new people after she transferred from Boston University. Perry made her debut with New York after graduation, getting small parts in Law & Order: Criminal Intent. But homesickness made Perry come back to California and pursue a career as an actress in the theater. The Other Place was performed by her and her mom on Broadway in 2013. Kevin McKidd, her father Kevin McKidd performed in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie with her in the year 2015. Perry played a role in 9 episodes of the ABC crime thriller The Family in 2016. In 2017, she played her own recurring part on the ABC Political thriller Scandal which starred her father. The actress also portrayed in the role of a younger Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon - which is a CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. Despite the fact that she has a connection with her family to the character, she was offered the part through an audition.
